Another 2 weeks of Central Nervous System module(which apparently is the toughest) and we'll be having 4 weeks of study break. Initially we were given only 2 weeks to study for 2 pro exams but after taking into considerations that we might get brain tumor, the gave us 4 weeks instead.

No more medical subjects after this. Phewww.

I have so many pictures of me sitting on the table. Is it me who love sitting on it or its the people who loves to take my picture when I'm on it? Hahaha

When I feel like dressing up to class, I'll wear something like this.

And this is when I certainly don't care about my appearance. My hair was all over the place. Grey kurung and red longchamp are 'definitely' a great combination.

Last thursday was our last anatomy lecture and practical. It was also our last lab with all those cannibals and models of organs in human. We turned the lab into a playground. And we played around and took some pictures after the session ended. Only pictures with model yeah? Pictures with cannibals might give you nightmares.

I trimmed my hair and eyebrows. Its been a while since I had my own ME time.

team building

Last weekend has got to be one of the craziest weekeneds I've had. These days, everyday is a crazy day. Even my classmates have gone crazy by putting up days-to-go to professional exam reminder on the white board. So high school, I know.

The faculty organized a team building camping at Kela Adventure Camp, Raub Pahang. A fun one, I must say. It was a great activity where all students from year 1 till year 5 were involved. This is the first year activity with year 1 babies. 5 years ago, we started with 30 students. And now, the number has increased to 173 students. I'm so proud to be in this small faculty where we have a very strong bond. Be it with students, staffs and even the dean. And we'll be witnessing the first batch of Uitm dentist this year. Best of luck to all year 5 students.

I'm used to camping during diploma days and been to Taman Negara once. So I'm good when it comes to packing up and I know the best shoes to wear for camping. Do not bring your Nike Adidas sport shoes cause they are all designed for running. Came across the word "running shoes" before? Expect lots of water-y and muddy activities. So the cheaper the better so that you don't hesitate to throw them after the camping. Hahaha. As for me, my Everlast shoes is a great company.

If I were to choose between camping and beach, I'd choose beach, definitely. But that doesn't mean I don't involve with the activities. But I'm fussy when it comes to food. In traveling, I'm not the kind of person who wants to try their traditional food and whatnot. Thank you to McD for keeping me alive. Hehehe. So during this camp, I forced myself to swallow the food provided for energy sake. Luckily, the food were not that bad.

And I wasn't in a good mood coz it was raining most of the time. Day and night. Imagine this, just when I tried to walk politely in front of the dean, I stepped into a pool of mud. Nice one. Hahaha. Some of them felt on the ground coz it was soo slippery. So kesian okay though I laughed. Hahahaha.

big boss

In dental faculty, we students have a close relationship with lecturers including The Dean. Yes, the big boss. He involves in almost everything and he definitely knows what's going on amongst us.

So, few weeks ago, my group had a PBL(program based learning) sessions with him. After 2 hours of brainstorming on what are the ideal properties of a denture yada yada yada*yawn*, we came out with some good questions for him.

me : Prof, could we get extra study leave this sem? Since you know, we have 2 professional exams and 2 weeks is definitely not enough. Just look at what happened to our result last sem.

The rest couldn't agree more and we were putting on the boldest face we could assume just like puss in boots in Shrek the movie.

the dean : Oh you need more? That means you'll have shorter holiday. Are you okay with that?

us : Yeah we're fineee with that. *with our big round eyes*

the dean : But you do know that you will not be having 4 months break like other faculties, don't you?

us : What??? We thought it's standardized! No exception right? Mana boleh macam ni prof *looking each other with opened mouth *

the dean : yeah but what would you do in that 4 months?

us : Rest la prof. We need rest. Oh we sooo need that. Or work. Yes work to earn some money. Or go on a vacation. See, we can do lots of things.

the dean : Rest? You don't need 4 months to rest. You'll lose your touch by then. Work? You guys can work in the clinic. A lot of work waiting for you in clinical years. You're hired automatically. Your new semester starts July like usual.

even if it's too bright to sleep

You know that you're enjoying your holiday when you sleep with your eye mask because it's too bright to be sleeping in the afternoon.

Yes it's true when people say you often write when you're in the midst of doing something, not when you're free. Because that would be the time when many thoughts linger in your mind and you have no one to talk to but this screen. That's when you type and type and type without even pausing.

Can't believe that I have another 3 years to go. Time flies so fast and I didn't realize that my brain cells have absorbed nothing but dentistry for the past 2 years. Many things learnt throughout the journey. Not just academic stuff but also about life. How I see things and handle them.

Studying about teeth and health related is the last thing I would tell a person whom I just met because the moment I tell them I'm a dental student, they will keep shut. Afraid that I might look into their mouth and comment on their teeth, I guess. Though it's a bad habit, but I tend to look at their teeth while they're talking. Hahaha. Bad bad habit.

I'm lucky to have my loved ones and friends who pull my back when I feel like I'm gonna lose myself out there. It's good to see them and talk about something else, something random and I can be myself.

But I hate it when they say they're graduating soon and even invite me to their graduation day! grrr. Dude, I have another 3 freaking years and god knows who will show up when my time comes coz they might be at home babysit their kids. hahahaha.

prostho no no

I'm in my unmanageable state for the past 4 weeks. Currently, we're at prosthodontic module. Denture or gigi palsu lah senang cerita. To tell you the truth, this module is not meant for me. Me and denture can't work together.

I'm used to working hours. Well, not that 8am-5pm but 8am-7pm! Stayed in the lab to complete the denture process. I'm half dead by the time I reached home and confused to choose between sleep and study. Sleep wins most of the time. I mean, all the time. Hehehe.

This week is the study week for our mid semester exam for both endo and prostho module followed by exam next week and one week of holiday on the week after. Finally!

Just the right time to get back on track.

Second day in Singapore was spent in Universal Studios Singapore in Sentosa Island.

Tip #4 : USS opens around 10am. Make sure you come early so that you can spend some time taking pictures in front of the USS globe before queuing. Expect long 'q' during school holidays.

Tip #5 : There's an additional spectacular fireworks show on Friday, Saturday and Sunday for free. So basically, you can stay in there till 9pm.

Singapore #1

Can't believe that I'm actually writing about this trip. It's almost impossible to find time for this.

Well, Singapore. We went there for a 3D2N trip. It was supposed to be a free and easy trip but we made it a hectic and am-pm trip one. God knows how many calories were burnt. We managed to 'explore' all places in just 3 days. Unless if you include museum into it. I mean, you do know that Singapore used to be part of Malaysia, don't you? So you can scratch out museum in your plan.

Tip #1 : Plan your journey. Which is first and which is later. Have a map with you all the time.

Upon arrival

I was the map reader during the trip. A pretty good one, I must say.

Upon arrival, we went straight to Little India which was 10 minutes of walking from our hotel.

After check-in, we went to the famous Orchard Road. My oh my, that place is crazy! Endless shopping malls. From high end stores to sg. wang standard stores, you name it.

Tip #2 : Do not bring extra bags and shoes/flops from here. Charles and Keith is everywhere! They dominate every malls. You'll go crazy, or at least we went crazy! Boys, ignore this tips. haha

Tip # 3 : If you go there with more than 2 person, I suggest you to take cab. Easier and faster.

I couldn't believe that I've been driving ttdi-uitm-ttdi back and forth every single day for the past one and a half year. Out of the house as early as 7.15 am and reach there just at time for my 8am class.

Traffic congestion is not a big deal. But finding a ONE parking space in the campus is a big problem. I rephrase, a huge problem.

Uitm is trying as hard as they can to stop student from driving to class due to bad traffic jam especially at peak hours. In order for them to stop us, they put parking barrier at all parking areas which only allow staff to park and thousands of students are left with no space to park.

With very limited available parking lot for students, everyone is fighting for one freaking space. Some of them come very early just to get the best spot and sleep in the car while waiting for their class. Yes, it sounds crazy. Luckily, my class starts at 8am while others at 8.30am.

Double parking is normal. Just imagine when your car is parked nicely in the parking lot and theres this car blocked yours and the owner finished class at 5pm. What would you do then?

Whether you like it or not, you have to push the car in order for you to go out. I'm not talking about pushing one car, its actually ONE line of cars. Now I know where my biceps come from. Haha

To worsen the situation, you have to have at least two person to do it. One to push the car and one to stop the car because there are times when you push it too hard, it won't stop and hit the car behind/in front and hit another car and another car...like a domino. All are kissed back to back. Too much love there.

Look at pictures below. My whitey (white kenari) was blocked by a line of domino cars. Obviously I can't push them alone. All are kissed back to back and pushing one car is like pushing one line of cars.

Driving a bigger car than myvi is like commiting suicide unless your dad is a millionaire to fix your car each time it got crashed.
